Club (RTC), she
initiated the idea of a club
newsletter and
administered its
publication. Her
creative and inspiring
thoughts, often
reflected in
the RTC newsletters,
produced what most
would deem a pledge for all runners.
I AM A RUNNER

I am a runner with heart and mind
I
compete against athletes and race against time
My goals are high and my will is strong
Though my body grows weary my pride grows strong
It’s no longer just finish now I must win
I run to make a mark amongst men
No record is too high for me to break
Or practice too tough for my body to take
