2007
Year In Review
MAY
GRTC organized an inter-active
Health and Fitness Workshop
at Franklin Park’s
clubhouse. The presentation of Mary Melton, RN and Health
Specialist
Consultant, was complemented with that of Trevor Garrick, president
of
Performance Fitness. The program offered a creative approach to improving
kids’ diet, and addressed issues on physical wellness for the audience.
JUN
The
GRTC Classic
was hosted at White Stadium. Over 60 athletes
competed in
multiple track and field events. All participants received a t-shirt
and awards
were presented to the top performers. In anticipation of school
vacation,
Reverend Miniard Culpepper of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church closed
the games
with words of encouragement for a safe and productive summer.
Thanks to the generosity of MA Sports & Entertainment
Commission, Tropical
Foods, and the many volunteers who enabled the games’ success.
